Books that moved me

The one book that has had a major impact on my life is the Bible. To read it, understand it, to live it. The next two books that have left their marks with me are "Lord of the Rings(Including the Hobbit) and the wonderful book, "To Kill a Mockingbird".

Interesting facts about me

My name is LayDominican but everyone calls me Lay. LayDominican is for a religious order that me and my wife belong. Lay is for Laity and Dominican is for the Dominican Order also known as Order of Preachers. Both my wife and I are devoute Roman Catholics.

The purpose for my site is for people of all religions to see if there is common ground that we can all agree. I want to make this an open debate board and have any and all topics discuss.

We live on the Atlantic Coast we our 7 grandkids, our daughter and our son-n-law, two Jack Russells dogs, two birds and numerous fish, and hermit crabs.

I love to listen to 60's music, blue-eyed soul music and so forth. I also like to read books on Catholic Church history, theology, philosophy and appologetics. I am also a Law and Order CI fan, and we like to watch the Animal Planet, the Discovery Channel and an occasional movie.

    No, I have not become meaner or nastier. I have taken a step up in my journey and I will not compromise on what I feel. You have no idea what George Pell is like, yet you went straight to the default of defending him due to him being a priest. You make racist slurs about my country and I WILL NOT lie down and take that. If you think that I will roll over and play dead while you assume you can say anything about my country or things you do not understand, it will not happen.

    If I made a racist slur against your country, I am so very sorry. It was not my intention to do so. Sometimes when I am angry I will write something, and then forget that I wrote them. I thought you were referring to what I said to xyz about the Dalits. That is besides the point. I am truly sorry for what I wrote about your country. After all, my country, as the world can see, is not the place where the streets are paved in gold, lol.

    As for the Cardinal, I am at a lost. You are a doctor, and you know the effect of some meds on memory. I take to 75mg patches of fentyal every two days. As my family can tell you, I am all over the place when I take it, but can not remember as I should. One day about a week or so ago, I got up and was dressing as if I was going to work. My wife asked me where I was going, I told her to work, my Uncle Harry needed my help. My Uncle Harry died in April of 2003. it took her all of an half hour to convince me he had gone. I dont' remember saying anything about the Cardinal in your country. I believe you, for I have not known you to ever lie to me. Again, I beg forgiveness and I offer my hand in friendship. You must not think much of me, but I do think much of you. Hopefully we can at least be friends. Blessings and Peace....Lay
